Date Announced for Long Island Behavioral Health Organization Regional Forum
The Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) are jointly contracting with Behavioral Health Organizations (BHO) to monitor inpatient behavioral health services for fee-for-service Medicaid individuals and services for children with a serious emotional disturbance (SED) who receive care in OMH-licensed clinics.
In October 2011 the Offices held four regional forums across New York State regarding the implementation of BHOs. The Long Island forum was not held at that time. The date for the Long Island forum has been scheduled for December 9th, 2011 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
