Membership in the Association for Community Living benefits you in many ways:

You will receive:

  • Input into the lobbying and advocacy activities that ACL engages in on behalf of the industry.
  • Input on budget, programmatic, regulatory, and licensing priorities that are advanced within state government by ACL each year;
  • Entry into regular regional meetings for networking opportunities, discussion groups on specific topics, opportunities to meet regulators, and opportunities to hear from leaders in the field.
  • Entry into our yearly Membership Meeting/Lobby Day where you will learn the specifics of the state budget, have an opportunity to lobby your legislators in Albany and network with colleagues, attend workshops and seminars on a variety of topics, and elect new Board Members.
  • Regular e-mail or faxed updates on the activities of ACL, its colleagues, the state legislature, the Governor, and OMH.
  • Access to ACL’s annual conference in November at the Sagamore, attended by over 550 people each year.

HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT ACL?

As a Regular or Affiliate Member of ACL you will add your voice to over 120 other not-for-profit member agencies in advocacy, policy development, and lobbying efforts on behalf of the vital services that you provide. As a Supporting Member or Individual Contributor you will help ACL meet its mission to help providers of service to operate the best, most up-to-date and comprehensive services possible.

Regular Membership: Open to non-profit agencies currently providing residential services to people diagnosed with psychiatric disabilities.

Affiliate Membership: Open to non-profit organizations that are developing residential services for people diagnosed with psychiatric disabilities.

Supporting Membership: Open to organizations, businesses and individuals who wish to support the goals of the Association through an annual contribution.

Individual Contribution: Your contribution to ACL provides support to non-profit providers who work everyday to increase the quality of life for the consumers they serve.
